From March 2 to 4 at the Republican Centre of Table Tennis Olympic Preparation in Minsk the greatest republican tournament, which is Belarus Individual Championship, is to take place. The best athletes from all over the country are to participate in the championship. These are 24 men and 24 women chosen as per the national ranking. The medals are to be played in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. The system of the tournament is Olympic -2, all places are played.
Last year Pavel Platonov and Aliaksandra Privalova won champion titles.
Belarus Individual Championship comes as the final preparatory stage and a power check before 2017 ITTF, Belgosstrakh Belarus Open. Also, the results of the tournament shall define the athletes who will then participate in Liebherr 2017 World Table Tennis Championships in Dusseldorf, Germany from May 29 to June 5.
